I woke up this morning at 5am and couldn’t get back to sleep, with the sun coming up. I got up, went to the bathroom, and then got back into my tent to relax and then pack up. My friend and I were out of the campsite by 7:45am, heading back to Harts Pass. We had a great day chatting and we arrived back at Harts Pass at 2:30pm.
We relaxed at his car and had some drinks we had left in the car. Packing up one for the road, I headed out on trail at 3:30pm and arrived at my evening’s destination ~5 miles away by 5:30pm.
I found a nice campsite with a beautiful water source, though the mosquitoes were a little vicious. I had a lovely dinner with my packed-out drink and then hopped into my tent, after setting up my (somewhat mediocre) bear hang.
