Saturday, July 15
Start: Wahtum Lake
End: Eagle Creek Trailhead
Miles: ~14.0
Elevation gain/loss: ~300’/3200′
I was up at 5:30, hung out until 8am, and then headed down Eagle Creek with Emily. We met up with Nick partway down Eagle Creek and then continued our descent. We passed by dozens upon dozens of day hikers out to swim and cool off from the 95+ heat.
Perhaps 3-1/2 miles from the parking lot, we met up with Toby, Very, Vanessa, Michelle, and Rin, and hiked together back to the trailhead, stopping once for a water filtering break at a stream. Jacob was waiting for us at the trailhead with huskies Anya and Potato. We finished our hike around 3:30pm.

From the trailhead, we all headed over to Cascade Locks for a few photos with the PCT monument and then headed to Thunder Island Brewing for a celebratory dinner! It was so special to have a wonderful group of humans surround me as I celebrated completing the PCT!
