I reset my gear and changed into a dry shirt at the Hale parking lot, and had a snack as I drove over to Crawford Notch. I found a parking spot without too much trouble, though the Notch was hopping. I started at 8:20am, and decided to head to Field first via Avalon, to avoid descending that way. It was very humid and in the 70s despite the early hour. I kept my hiking legs moving smoothly, tagging Willey, and then headed over to Tom.
After summiting, I quickly exited back to Crawford by 1pm where I changed my sweat soaked clothes, reset my pack, rehydrated, and had a snack as I drove to the next trailhead.
