I did my best to send WTF quickly, though the clouds and humidity were thick. My splitting headache started as I descended back to Crawford Notch, just as the thunderstorm started. I hiked up to Jackson in the pouring rain and thunder, and had to slow down substantially on the way back down due to the slippery rocks. I was delighted to be back at my car with a change of dry clothes before heading home.
