After sleeping at Hancock Campground, this was a nice start to the weekend. There was 3-4″ freshly fallen snow from the overnight, but some freeze-thaw cycles earlier on in the week made for a very firm surface. I wore spikes door to door, though it was above freezing for the last hour or two and the snow was getting soft and slushy. I was delighted to run into Eric Hansen on my long exit out!
