I headed out from the trailhead just a bit before 1:30pm, and took just a bit more than 6 hours. Again, it was as low as 0 actual/-25 windchill, with gusts of up to 40 MPH. There was a lot of drifted snow between the peaks, where it was hard to find the trail. At least the snow underneath was very firm. I managed to wear spikes door to door with only a few post holes when I wandered off the narrow packed path.
My lungs were beyond mad. My bronchospasms were so bad, I could barely breath and had to focus on shallow even breathing to prevent freaking out about how hard it was to breath. For the last few hours, it was just one foot in front of the other.
