Start/Finish: Rocky Branch North

After a long day already, I met up woth Eric at the trailhead at 4:45pm. We packed up and headed out at 5pm. We immediately encountered a torrential downpour and an intense thunderstorm with strikes nearby. It passed through after half an hour, but we were hit with another thunderstorm maybe an hour later and two other rain storms over the course of the hike.
The trail was soggy and mostly rock hopping around moving water. And Davis Path was very muddy with large puddles. But we made the summit before sundown, and made the best of a stormy day.
