It stormed overnight, dropping a lot of rain. After getting up around 6:15am and packing up all of my gear including my wet tent, I headed out towards the York Pond East trailhead around 7am. I arrived at the trailhead around 8:30am, and there were already more than a dozen cars there, all clearly heading for Mt Cabot. Thankfully, my route only overlapped with the Mt Cabot route for 0.2 miles, otherwise it would have been a very busy hike. As it was, I only saw two other people hiking Weeks, and we passed each other as I was descending and they were ascending. The rain had stopped around 7am, but it was overcast and everything was covered in water droplets. There were some rain showers as I was heading back over North Weeks, but it was short lived. It was nice to be able to blast up a trail, not having to debate where the path was.
