We drove between Kearsarge and Cardigan through some dirt back roads and arrived at the parking area for the Cardigan trailhead around 12:45pm. We managed to snag a spot right by the trailhead and quickly headed up the trail to avoid all of the people congregating. We hiked up to the summit at 1:45pm by the West Ridge Trail and enjoyed a snack in the sunshine at the summit.
Then we headed back down via the Clark and South Ridge Trail, going over the South peak of Cardigan and Rimrock before arriving back at our car at 3:30pm.
