Start/end: Waterville Valley Ski Area
Miles: 4.72
Elevation gain/loss: 2310′
I started from the trailhead around 8pm, navigating by headlamp. It was lightly raining, and continued to lightly rain for my entire 2-hour hike. Around 2500′, the rocks were starting to accumulate some ice, though I was able to avoid most of it. Towards the summit of Tecumseh, there was a bit of slushy show, but never more than 3″; there was a fair amount of pooled water and mud, which will get slick once it freezes.
I made good time to the summit and then scurried back down before the rain picked up. I made it to my car just after 10pm.
