Start: Gale River Rd
End: Lincoln Woods
Miles: 22.57
Elevation gain: 6315′
After meeting Alyssa and Megan at Lincoln Woods, we carpooled up to Gale River Rd and the Gale River trailhead. We started hiking at 5:45am, and made steady progress, arriving at Galehead hut just after 8am. We summited Galehead by 8:25am, and South Twin by 9:15am. We made our way over to North Twin by 9:45am and then headed back to South Twin, and then headed towards Guyot. We summited West Bond by 12:15pm and Bond by 12:45pm. We made our way down to Bondcliff by 1:30pm, took a few pictures on the iconic ledge, and then started the long hike out to Lincoln Woods. The trail was smooth and the 6-9″ of snow and ice soon gave way to damp leaves and wet trail. We hiked very quickly and made it back to the bridge and parking lot by 4:45pm! Overall, it was a lovely day with great weather and new friends!
