With an early finish the night before, I went to bed relatively early as well. I woke up a bit later than yesterday and then headed over to the trailhead. I started out at 6:30am with no one else in the parking lot. The trail was well packed and I made good time; it’s the first time I’ve ever done Isolation with both bushwhacks set; no one had even hiked the normal trail so it was very easy to follow.
I made Isolation quite easily, celebrated finishing my February Grid, and then headed back down after taking some pictures. I met a few groups of people gridding, and chatted a bit with some of them. The return trip felt easy if a bit long, as I had to keep stepping aside for other hikers to climb past. But soon enough, I was back at my car, the first one done for the day!
