Start/Finish: Hancock Overlook
Miles: 9.36
Elevation gain/loss: 2740
After finishing Moosilauke, I headed through Lincoln to get to the Hancocks. I snagged a parking spot on the grass by the entrance and started my hike/run at 9:30am. I ran where I could and enjoyed the smooth, relatively dry trail. I ran into Walton, a trail runner I know, and their friend and we chatted for a little bit before continuing on our adventures.
I decided to do the Hancocks in counter-clockwise order this time since I’ve never done it that way before; I’m not sure which I prefer, to be honest; they’re both steep to climb and descend. Once I got down, I jogged my way back out. The round trip took me just over 3.5 hours.
