I was up before 5am to make the most of the day’s light and avoid the Labor Day weekend crowds. I headed to the Ravine Lodge, but found that because of First Year student orientation, all hikers were required to park down the road by the gate. After figuring out the parking situation, I started out at 5:40am. I enjoyed the much smoother route and kept a good pace to the summit, where I turned around and headed right back down. The round trip took me just under 3 hours.
