Start/Finish: XC ski parking by Greeley Pond TH
Miles: 7.2
Elevation gain/loss: 3222′
After a week of COVID rebound, I was feeling well enough to hike by the weekend. I started with a hike up the Osceolas from the Kanc. As usual, Greeley Pond wasn’t plowed so I parked at the nearby XC ski parking. The trail was relatively packed down and while I wore snowshoes for the heel lift, they weren’t really required – trail crampons/sharp microspikes would have worked. It was a bit windy and cold up top on the ridge, but overall, the conditions were good for a night time hike in December.
