Start/Finish: Greeley Pond TH
Miles: 6.86
Elevation gain/loss: 3097′
I was up early, trying to beat the morning rain. I hiked into a damp cloud at 5:30am and grinded my way up the mountain. The rocks were damp and slippery, and the air was thick and hard to breathe. I tried to not pay too much attention to my surroundings and just keep moving upward.
The summits were fully socked in, so there was nothing to see. No substantial mud or standing water on trail was appreciated, but I was eager to be done. I ended up running the last mile or two in an effort to outpace the rain. I did a solid job, only getting rained on for the last few minutes.
