Summits: Isolation
Start/Finish: Rocky Branch North TH
Miles: 11.2
Elevation gain/loss: 3670′
It was raining the entire time. And I needed to wear snow shoes for about half of the miles. I took both bushwhacks, and both were fairly hard to follow. The water crossing wasn’t too bad – I was able to rock hop, with calf-deep water on top of those rocks. Water has risen by a few inches on my return trip, though it was still easily manageable. My boots were already wet anyway.
