After another relaxed morning, we started hiking by 10am. However, given the large hordes of humans we saw later in the day, 10am was still considered early! We did an out and back hike, spending a while relaxing at the summit, once we found a quiet ledge to ourselves. We made it back to the car by 12:45pm, and headed back to relax at the campground and the pond; on the highway, we passed by more than a mile of traffic on the other side trying to exit to downtown Lincoln, and we sure were glad we weren’t staying in town!
