After I finished work for the day, my partner drove me to Logan Airport in Boston. I checked my bag and made it quickly through security with no trouble. After a 45-minute wait, the flight boarded and we took off on schedule. We had a smooth flight and arrived right on time, though I had to speak to a flight attendant about one of my seatmates who got drunk on her own alcohol and then took off her mask multiple times. But the flight attendant was wonderful and took care of it.
After I picked up my checked bag from the baggage terminal, I requested a ride to the San Diego Motel 6 where I had a reservation for the night. It wasn’t in a great area and I didn’t feel safe going out after I arrived, so I ate some of my hiking snacks for dinner instead. Once I was settled, I put in a request for an early morning ride to Campo. With that taken care of, I headed to bed, with a 4:30am alarm set.
Have a fabulous journey on the PCT! I look forward to reading your posts!
