We woke up around 5:30am, though Toby hadn’t slept well. It was cooler and we took until 7am to get packed up and out of camp. We descended for a long while, down to the turn off for VVR.
We filtered water at the creek crossing and then headed up the long and hot ascent of Bear Ridge. We stopped for water part way up. Then we descended a bit to parallel Bear Creek until the crossing. We stopped there for dinner and then pressed onward.
We found a nice spot tucked away near a creek and set up for the night. We were in bed and asleep by 9pm.
