I was up at 5, and on trail by 5:30am. I waved goodbye to Emily as she packed up.
I saw a bear earlier in the day, and a few hummingbirds later. I knocked out 9 miles by 9am.
I met Bubbles, Has-Been, and Bambi at a morning water source and had some great conversations.
I got to the evening campsite at 7pm. I had to share space with 6 other hikers; I met only Spot (nobo LASHer) among them – everyone else kept to themselves, though they were not quiet. One man was listening to trail report/thru-hiker YouTube videos without headphones for a few hours. Three others loudly showed up at 8:30pm, talking at the top of their voices, and didn’t go to bed until almost 10pm.
