Start: Donner Pass Rd/Donner Summit
End: Barker Pass trailhead
Miles: 28.5
Elevation gain/loss: 5938’/5387′
I was awake at 5:30am and got dropped off on trail at 8am by my friend from Reno. It was a windy day, but it kept things fairly cool – the high temperature was maybe 75. I went over Tinker Knob, Ward Peak, and Twin Peaks. Towards the tail end of my hike, I chatted with three NOBO LASHers and filled them in on Sierra City and the burn section. I then hiked it out and made it to the Donner Summit trailhead by 6pm, where my friend picked me up to start my double zero days!
