Peaks: North and South Kinsman, Cannon
I started my day at 5:30am, and met the sunrise partway up the snowing Kinsmans, already well past the hut. I summited the socked-in Kinsmans, but a clear sky started peaking through as I descended and by the time I was to the hut, blue sky was visible. I stopped for a quick water refill at the hut and then cut across the lake to get to the Hi-Cannon trail. I passed multiple parties in snowshoes on the ascent but enjoyed the stable trail bed with spikes. After summiting Cannon in a harsh wind, I headed back down the way I’d come. I made great time and was back to the car by 12:30pm.
